St. Patrick's Day By-Election

Well, there are four federal by-elections taking place today, if voters can drag themselves out of the pubs.

Here at the Jack of Hearts, we've been keeping our eye on the Animal Alliance Environment Voters Party of Canada in Toronto Centre. Are you listening, Bob Rae? The Fighting AAEVP scored an impressive 72 votes in the 2006 general election in Toronto Centre. They're hoping to make a breakthrough in 2008. 72 votes! That's 28 more votes than they have letters in their Party name. Way to go, Guys!

But, if you wish a different alternative to "make a statement," might I suggest voting for your local Green Party candidate (in keeping with the situation).
