Smack Down on the Coren Show

In a shameless display of politically correct obfuscation, rhetorical deflection, and moral relativism, two guests on The Michael Coren Show (CTS, Wednesday, July 8, 2009) beclowned themselves in a discussion of the anniversary of the 7/7 bombings in London. Marilyn Churley (former Ontario NDP Cabinet Minister in Bob Rae's government between 1991-95) and Krisna Saravanamuttu (president of the York Federation of Students) evaded a direct question about whether we in the west need to be concerned about radical Islamism or, as Coren put it more ecumenically, Islamic fundamentalism. Instead they tried to turn it around and draw a specious moral equivalency argument about Christian fundamentalism.

Much to his credit, Coren would have none of this game-playing.

Needless to say, this is a very entertaining (and revealing) segment.
