Note to self (and anyone who is interested): I've been a Blue Jays fan since 1977 (sometimes casual, sometimes die-hard). But I've always had a thing for upstart underdogs (as long as they don't threaten my civil rights). The Rays have come out of their perennial last place position to capture the brass ring. It's the sort of thing that cheesy Hollywood movies are made of.
