Four Family Members Slaughtered -- Four Life Sentences

A Maryland teen killed his entire family while they slept. He put a bullet each into the brains of his father, his mother, and his two younger brothers, aged 14 and 11.

"The motive he provided was years of physical abuse and insults he said he had suffered at the hands of his father ..."

The judge was buying any of it.

"But in pronouncing sentence, Baltimore County Circuit Judge Thomas J. Bollinger Sr. said he paid no heed to any allegation of abuse as a mitigating factor in the killings."

The 16 year old was sentenced to four terms of life imprisonment -- two consecutive and two concurrent.

Imagine that. A judge rejected the abuse excuse. Only in the U.S., you say? Pity.

Well, at least this young assassin didn't have the chutzpah to plead for leniency because he was an orphan.
