Cdn. Govt. to Inquire into Conduct of HRCs? "We'll Always Have Ottawa."

Conservative M.P. Rick Dykstra has submitted a motion to the Justice Committee of the House of Commons to launch an inquiry into complaints arising from the procedures of the Canadian Human Rights Commission and the application of Section 13 (1) of the Canadian Human Rights Act. This motion is submitted with the knowledge and consent of the Justice Minister Rob Nicholson. Nicholson has been the subject of some harsh criticism in the blogosphere lately, stemming from the brief submitted on behalf of the Department of Justice in support of its intervention in the constitutional challenge stemming from the CHRT file Warman v. Lemire.

With this new development, I'm reminded of Victor Laszlo (Paul Henreid) standing on the tarmac of the Casablanca airfield, Ilsa Lund (Ingrid Bergman) by his side, as he says to Rick Blaine (Humphrey Bogart): "Welcome back to the fight, Rick. This time I know our side will win."
